What Types of In-Person Purchases Have Young Adult* Consumers in Latin America Paid for in Cash? (% of respondents, by country, Aug 2018)

Description

Millennial consumers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru were asked to name what types of in-person purchases they paid for in cash. Responses include for small, everyday purchases, weekly grocery shopping and restaurants/dining out.

Methodology

Data is from the September 2019 Vocalink report titled "Young Latin Americans and their money" conducted in association with Kantar. 5,000 consumers ages 18-35 in Latin America were surveyed online and via telephone during August 2018. Consumers were from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru, each with 1,000 respondents per country. Consumers also had a bank account as well as access to a smartphone. Samples were nationally representative of this demographic group in each of the countries surveyed. Vocalink is a payment solutions provider.
