Methodology

Data is from the April 2019International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and OneTrust report titled, "Ready or not, here it comes: How prepared are organizations for the California Consumer Privacy Act?" 282 US companies in various industries surveyed during March 2019. Respondents are IAPP members in California, registrants of the IAPP's CCPA Comprehensive 2019 and US Privacy Digest subscribers. In addition, a survey link was posted on the IAPP's website, in the Daily Dashboard and on social media. Respondents worked for companies headquartered in Canada (2%), non-UK EU (4%), UK (1%) and US (93%) with a number of global employees of 1-250 (18%), 251-1,000 (18%), 1,001-5,000 (17%), 5,001-25,000 (23%) or over 25,001 (24%).
