Why Aren't US Mobile App Users Interested in Downloading Apps from Merchants? (% of respondents, June 2019)


This survey asked US consumers about why they are not interested in downloading current mobile offerings from retailers. The responses included having too many apps on their phone, security concerns, no features of interest, unappealing coupons and more.


Data is from the August 2019 and LISNR report titled "Which Apps Do They Want?" 1,045 US internet users ages 18+ were surveyed online during June 3-10, 2019. Respondents all use mobile apps to plan trips to the store (e.g., identify products, search for stores that have specific products or find directions to physical store locations before visiting). The survey sample was census-balanced. LISNR is a payments technology company.
