Methodology

Data is from the April 2020 Business Insider Intelligence "Coronavirus Consumer Survey." 1,199 US adults ages 18+ were surveyed online on March 31, 2020. The sample was selected to closely resemble the US population, based on the US Census, on the criteria of age and gender. Business Insider Intelligence and eMarketer are owned by the same parent company, Axel Springer.
