Data is from a September 2020 GenForward report titled "Race, Ethnicity, and the Financial Lives of Young Adults" conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago. 3,133 adults ages 18-36, including 798 Black adults, 474 Asian American adults, 822 Latinx adults, and 990 white adults from the AmeriSpeak, Black Youth Project (BYP), and Dynata panels were surveyed via phone and online during May 29-June 11, 2020. The sample was representative of US adults ages 18-36. GenForward is a survey project from NORC at the University of Chicago.
