Types of Care Deferred by US Adults with Employer-Based Insurance vs. US Clinician-Reported Levels, April 2021 (% of respondents)
Data is from the June 2021 PwC Health Research Institute study titled "Medical Cost Trend: Behind the Numbers 2022." 1,365 US clinicians were surveyed online during March-April 2021. Respondents include 389 physicians, 168 physician assistants, 152 nurse practitioners, 330 registered nurses and 323 community or retail pharmacists. In addition, 2,511 US adults ages 18+ were surveyed online during September 9-September 22, 2020. US adults representing a cross section of the population in terms of insurance type, age, race, gender, geographic region, and political affiliation. The margin of error was +/-2 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
