Methodology

Data is from the April 2022 The Physicians Foundation "2022 Survey of America's Physicians: Part One." 1,502 US adults physicians were surveyed online during February 3-11, 2022. The sample for this study of n=1,502 represents the Medscape online population with a margin of error of +/-2.5%, at a confidence level. 33% of the respondents are primary care practitioners and 67% are specialists. The respondents' practice types are independent (27%), employed by hospital (47%), and employed by physician-owned facility (20%).
