Social media use in Latin America is nearly synonymous with internet usage. This year, Latin America will have 392.6 million social network users, second only to the Asia-Pacific region.

Facebook is still a regional favorite, but its growth has slowed as platforms like TikTok and Instagram have grown in popularity. More than 100 million people now use TikTok in Latin America, while Instagram will be the second-fastest-growing platform in the region.

TikTok’s growth trajectory in Latin America has been remarkable. As the region’s third-largest social network, TikTok’s Latin America users will be almost double Twitter’s and 3.5 times the size of Snapchat’s by the end of the year.
