This type of payment entails scanning, tapping, or swiping a mobile phone at the POS to complete a transaction and includes use of public transportation payment wallets. Examples include Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Wallet, the Starbucks mobile app, and the Los Angeles Metro's mobility wallet. Purchases of digital goods on mobile phones and transactions made via tablets are excluded.
