Additional Note: Telemedicine tools include interactive videoconferencing or videoconferencing using apps on a computer, tablet, smartphone, or other mobile device. Two-way, real-time interactive communication for psychological counseling, mental health services, and dietary advice is included. Clinical services include but are not limited to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up visits. Telehealth users are individuals who have used electronic and telecommunication technologies themselves or through a caregiver to support long-distance clinical or nonclinical healthcare, or to receive health information from a medical services provider, at least once during the calendar year.
Methodology: Estimates are based on the analysis of survey and traffic data from research firms and regulatory agencies, sales projections, historical trends, company-specific data, and demographic and socioeconomic factors.
