Additional Note: A smart home appliance is an interactive device connected via internet and/or Bluetooth (or any other connectivity protocol) that can be controlled by using apps, smart home hubs or voice assistants to interact with other home appliances. Includes kitchen appliances like refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves, and laundry appliances like washers and dryers. Includes only white goods (i.e., built-in appliances). Excludes garage doors, robot vacuums ( i.e., iRobot Roomba) and other smart cleaning devices.
Methodology: Estimates are based on the analysis of survey and traffic data from research firms and regulatory agencies, sales projections, historical trends, company-specific data, and demographic and socioeconomic factors.
