Additional Note: A smart home smart lock is an interactive device connected via internet and/or Bluetooth (or any other connectivity protocol) that can be controlled and automated by using apps, smart home hubs or voice assistants to interact with smart security systems. Smart locks can grant or deny access to visitors, lock doors remotely and can also detect when a person is nearby, automatically unlocking the door for them. Examples include August, Kwikset, and Yale locks.

Methodology: Estimates are based on the analysis of survey and traffic data from research firms and regulatory agencies, sales projections, historical trends, company-specific data, and demographic and socioeconomic factors.
