eMarketer and Business Insider Intelligence are now Insider Intelligence.

May 6, 2020 (New York, NY)

“Insider Intelligence” is being announced today as the brand name of the newly-formed parent company of eMarketer and Business Insider Intelligence (BII), both subsidiaries of Axel Springer. Insider Intelligence’s mission is to become the world’s leading research company focused on digital transformation.

“Insider Intelligence is much more than the sum of its parts, eMarketer and BII,” said Barbara Peng, the company’s president. “By combining eMarketer’s unrivaled brand credibility and robust methodology with BII’s enterprising and fast-moving DNA, Insider Intelligence is poised to become the global market leader focused on digital transformation. Our mission is more relevant than ever as organizations around the world confront a new digital reality post- Covid-19.”

Since launching in 1996, eMarketer has become the premier source of data and information covering the areas of digital marketing, media, advertising, and retail. eMarketer is renowned for its comprehensive global forecasts, data-packed charts, and rigorous methodology.

BII spent much of the last decade producing timely and highly digestible research on an increasingly wide array of digital subjects of keen interest to the business community. As BII and eMarketer come together, Insider Intelligence will maintain BII’s close connection with Business Insider and its global distribution platform.

“What has become clear is how dependent we have all become on digital as a tool for every aspect of our personal and professional lives, including businesses striving to achieve digital transformation,” said eMarketer co-founder and chief evangelist Geoff Ramsey. “Combining eMarketer’s trusted brand with the formidable resources of BII will enable the newly formed entity of Insider Intelligence to provide our clients with expanded coverage, more granular and timely data, and more actionable insights and strategies so they can thrive in an increasingly digitally-connected world.”

New offerings for a fast-moving world

Insider Intelligence this month will launch our first combined product: the eMarketer Briefing, a daily subscriber newsletter that uses exclusive eMarketer data and insights to contextualize the most important marketing, advertising, and media news of the day. This brings together timely daily briefings – a hallmark of BII – and eMarketer data, forecasting, and methodology.

The company will also be developing even more robust data, charts, forecasts, competitive rankings, and industry benchmarks. And it is deepening its coverage in the following core industries: Advertising and Media, Financial Services, Telecommunications and Technology, and Digital Health.

Insider Intelligence is developing a unified research platform to provide access to all of its services and provide a frictionless client experience with improved and expanded features and functionality.
